Easy way to cancel Shell Energy

  • Go to Help Home > Energy > Leaving us > Closing your account > I’m leaving you, what happens next?

Before Shell Energy can close your account, there are a few steps that have to happen first:

  1. You’ll be asked to submit an opening reading to your new supplier
  2. Your readings will be sent to Shell Energy once they have been validated by Industry - this can take up to 28 days
  3. Once Shell Energy received your final readings, they'll close your account and produce your final bill
  4. Your final readings will have an ‘F’ next to them
  5. Shell Energy will produce your final bill within six weeks of you leaving them
