We hunt down the top paying referral schemes so you can earn money for spreading the word.

We have filtered out the best  referral schemes that pay you real money - not credit / discounts / vouchers - don't require you to take any action other than get a friend to sign up or any big investments from your friends.

Top Cashback - £15

Scheme: Get £15 when you refer a friend.

Difficulty: 5/10

It should be pretty easy getting your friends to sign up, it's free money right! Making sure they actually use it and reach the minimum might take a little more time.

Plum - £25

Scheme: Sign up 3 friends for £25.

Difficulty: 4/10

This one is for all your friends who want more savings and wish they knew more about investing so you should have plenty to choose from! Plum is a free product but your friend needs to connect it to their bank account to complete sign up and for you to get your bonus. Try posting links to articles or reviews which show them it's 'legit'.

Terms: You must be a Plum user to make use of the scheme. Paid instantly into your Plum account when your friend completes sign up using your code. Just type 'invite' into Plum get yours or click here. No limit to how many people you can refer.

Sky TV - £50

Scheme: You each get £50 on a prepaid Mastercard.

Difficulty: 6/10

If you are already a Sky customer this one shouldn't be too tricky. Try making a status about the offer and get anyone who is looking to get Sky to message you.

Terms: Friend must live at different UK address to you. £50 will be sent to both parties when new customer's first subscription fee is paid. Must use your unique reference number.

Nationwide - £100

Scheme: £100 for every friend (max 5) you refer who opens a current account. Your friend also gets £100 for switching.

Difficulty: 7/10

Getting someone to change their bank account for you to get a bonus might be tough. Luckily, they also get £100 so that should help them make the switch.

Terms: Refer a maximum of five friends per tax year. Your ‘friend’ must do a full switch of their main current account (at least two direct debits) into FlexAccount, FlexPlus or FlexDirect within 90 days of the recommendation (the switch must close their old account).

COREcruitment  - £500

Scheme: £500 for every NEW person you recommend and which COREcruitment places.

Difficulty: 8/10

If you know anyone looking for a new job this could be perfect for you. Just make sure they apply directly after signing up with your link so you get paid. It could also take a little while to get the money as they pay quarterly.

Terms:  Only pay referrals that lead directly to employment. For example, if someone you referred 12 months ago applies to a recent job advert and then gains employment they would NOT pay. The amount is only paid after successful completion of 3 months work. There’s no limit to the amount of friends you can send.

Referral Tips

This is all well and good but you still need to successfully refer your friends.

Cast a wide net. If you struggle to find people to refer to check out websites like http://refermehappy.com/uk which sources pals for you or post in related community groups and forums. You could also post a general status, who knows which friends you have lost touch with who happen to be looking to switch their energy provider at the moment.

Make sure they know what's in it for them. If the bonus goes two ways let them know, even if it doesn't they can also benefit from referring friends just like you did so let them know you are getting money for sharing this so they get the idea.

Talk up the product. This is easier to do if it's one that you use. Show them screenshots, tell them how it's helped you and others. Make sure you can answer any questions they have. Ultimately they won't sign up unless they actually want to use it, so sell sell sell!
